Bursaries are a remarkable opportunity for people to be able to pursue their chosen passion. Normally this either purely academic, or has some significant academic element. Well, Pannier has been created as a community for traveling cyclists and developed its own bursary program. This is a totally new program which is almost certainly unique in the world.
Pannier has a clear vision. Its vision is to foster and spread their passion for the exploration and discovery of the world. They believe that this is best done on a bike. I personally can understand this. Travel by bicycle is a very good way to travel. Pannier wants to promote those who travel by bike and serve to inspire others to take up such activities. Its routes are almost global. They cover the United Kingdom, Norway, the United States of America, Spain, Australia, Italy, and other countries.
Starting in Spring 2016, Pannier is offering travel bursaries to cyclists looking to go on the most interesting tours of the season. The bursaries on offer are for two specific kinds of routes. The first type is through the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Eire, and the second type is for the rest of Europe excluding Russia.
The prize is quite simple. Once you have come up with the best route and been awarded the bursary, you are entitled to both cash and a touring kit from the Pannier shop. The cash is clearly not the best part of the deal for the die hard cyclist who will win the award. He will be interested in the touring kit. This is because the idea is to go on repeated trips, so this will allow him to be very well equipped for future tours. This is because Pannier’s shop is by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. This will be the best stuff on the market.
If you are interested, you should find out more and prepare your tour as soon as possible. In the mean time, you can sign up. This is because registration closes on November 20th 2015. After this date, you will receive an application to fill in.
